E-bikes are the largest growth market for bicycle manufacturers.
But let’s be honest: they’re a pricey choice for consumers who are uncertain about their choice of bike. By developing a new omni-channel umbrella-brand called yourbike.com, Accell Group wants to provide a low-key, open and uncomplicated one-stop-shopping experience for the enthusiastic cyclist.
With over a million bicycles sold yearly, mainly in the US and European markets, Accell Group is European’s market leader in bicycles, e-bikes, bicycle parts and accessories. It’s brand portfolio includes well-known brands like Batavus, Babboe, Haibike, KOGA, Lapierre, Sparta, and more.
Accell commissioned DAY to develop and design the retail formula for yourbike.com from concept to roll-out. An integrated formula providing space for five strong (e-)bicycle brands, as well as parts & accessories. In this seamlessly off- and on-line ultimate shopping experience, clients can experience excellent service, perfect advice and live testing of e-bikes.
The design of this concept uses modular interior- and branding elements and can be deployed at any location, from flasghip-store to shop-in-shop spaces.
The elements consist of the facade, two types of display Brand Walls, several modular Bike Pods, Spotlight display items, a Body Scanner and the hospitality area called the Bike Bar.
DAY also developed a distinct spatial brand for yourbike.com. In cooperation with SILO agency, which designed the brand identity. They translated the brand identity to a tangible look and feel for all retail touch points, including the interior branding, materialisation, employee clothing, photography and instore and online-communication systems and materials.
An up-and-running pilot store was built. Thereby, the formula was tested on several locations to be ready for roll-out both nationally and internationally.
