DAY is delighted to welcome Ruud van Soest as our Business Development & Commercial Director. Ruud joined us from January 1st, 2022 and will implement and enhance DAY’s new strategic direction. Ruud is an experienced commercial leader. He brings with him extensive knowledge of business development, product development & sales and marketing. His primary focus will be to develop a robust, client-focused commercial strategy to support the ambitious growth plans of the DAY business. Ruud van Soest: “My ambition is to bring strategy and design together, creating really differentiating brand and spatial experiences, and have significant better business results.” We look forward to introducing Ruud to our clients, partners and friends of the business!
DAY is very pleased to announce that Ruud Nederpelt joins DAY. We are delighted to have him in our team. “As a Senior Designer I’m responsible for the branding of our clients. I want to create visual ‘eco-systems’, where everything comes together. From the story and strategy to the design system and campaigns. It all needs to be one consistent beautiful world! That’s what I love to do.” Joined the team in January, is a board game designer during the weekends and really wants to get back into the water again to do some scuba diving!
From December 1st 2021, DAY Creative, with its HQ in Amsterdam, will also be located on the 1st floor of the striking former Philips building 'De Lichttoren', in the centre of Eindhoven. Where once the light bulbs were made, this building is now home to many creative companies. Because of the increasing number of requests from southern clients in the Netherlands, our growing team can now also be found at our new office in Eindhoven!
Last week DAY was at the Grand Opening of the KNVB new Data intelligence & E-sports room. E_Oranje will be the first official FIFA team in Europe to get its own E_Room at the KNVB Campus in Zeist. The hub is located at the campus in the middle of the forests of Zeist and is thé place where: big data meets big nature, high tech meets no tech, virtual meets reality and digital life meets real life. Therefore, DAY has created a biophilic design concept that connects the tech-inside with the nature outdoors. Watch the official launch video here!

And the winners of the Creative Heroes Award Czech Republic 2021 are... The Creative Heroes Award focuses on the impact of creative thinking. It focuses on the person that leads the change, on the person that has the courage to stand up and challenge the current status quo. It zooms in on the creative process itself and on the people behind new concepts and innovations that have sustainable positive impact on people, society, and the environment. 2021 witnesses the historically first Creative Heroes Award Czech Republic finale! DAY's Gesina Roters is Co-chair of the jury and looking forward to the finale of the award show in Prague next week: “We have judged the impact of people and their creative thinking in areas such as health care, science, business and engineering. It is not always simple and straightforward to compare them, especially when the reach of the impact – on an individual, local, regional, national, or international level - is also part of the equation. All nominees are winners that lead the way into our sustainable future in one way or another.”
At DAY we talked about how blessed we feel with a safe living environment. A privilege that many others do not have. That is why we have become a partner of the 'Friends of the Red Cross' Netherlands, a growing network of committed entrepreneurs who attach great importance to corporate social responsibility. A small gesture to support the Red Cross to invest in innovative solutions that help the emergency services of the Red Cross move forward, and to makes people at home and abroad more self-reliant and less vulnerable to disasters.
