CFOLab is a financial service provider that offers an innovative solution concept for small and medium-sized enterprises that are in a growth phase and need a top-level Chief Financial Officer (CFO), but are not yet large enough to afford and employ such a person on a full-time basis.
In this market, SME accountants often lack sufficient knowledge and experience. At the same time, financial consultants are usually too expensive. CFOLab offers the perfect solution with a dedicated CFO on a monthly subscription basis.
DAY designed a striking and bold visual brand identity to help CFOLab market this refreshing new concept and change the traditional mindset of SME entrepreneurs. We created a visual style that went far beyond the classic and somewhat conservative design code normally found in the financial services industry.
The idea behind the new brand identity was this: if you want to challenge SME entrepreneurs to dare to develop and make a difference, then your own approach should be proof of how to do it. We therefore created the perfect visual identity for a brand that wanted to be seen as a ‘challenger’ in the financial services industry. This in turn ‘challenged’ SME entrepreneurs to take a CFO subscription while also attracting CFOs to CFOLab to help deliver this exceptionally smart solution.
